Warranty not showing correctly. Will Samsung update it if I provide an invoice?

I purchased a Galaxy S22 Ultra brand new on Tuesday 11th of June from an amazon reseller.

I've registered it on my Samsung account., and the warranty shows as expiring on the 14th of october this year.

I asked about getting the warranty updated if i provided an invoice from the seller, which I have already requested, but was simply told to go through the reseller if I had any issues.

Does anyone happen to know if samsung will update the warranty end date, if I am able to provide an invoice showing when I actually purchased the phone?

You'll need to get the warranty from the reseller from Amazon, Samsung won't provide one as you brought the device though Amazon.

Sounds like the warranty is showing correctly. S22U was released 2 year ago, with a 24 month warranty, my guess is the OG seller bought the S22U in October 2022.

Warranty periods are always from original purchase date and not the date you purchased from the reseller. So no, Samsung, nor will any other company extend a warranty based on your purchased reseller date.

I believe you'll also need the original sales receipt to claim under warranty repairs.

Furthermore, I'd always be cautious when you're buying not directly from an official retailer IE Samsung, Network Provider, Argos etc. There are sellers on Ebay/Amazon etc who inport phones from different regions and you may just end up with a non-EU device therefore, won't be able to claim under warranty and repairs would be charged. Just something to think about in the future.

We can check by going go Settings > About Phone > Software Information and post a screenshot of "service provider software version."
