Voice Recorder now has 3 hour limit, how to disable this

I updated my S22 Ultra to One UI 6.1 recently and have found that the Samsung Voice Recorder (version 21.5.40.37) now has a 3 hour limit, which I was not aware of when I needed to record a long (5 hour) meeting, and then later found that it stopped at exactly 3 hours!

This seems to be related to the AI Transcribe and Summary feature (which can't be turned off), but the 3 hour limit is not mentioned anywhere at all. Up until this week I have been able to record meetings with seemingly no limit (I've recorded meetings that lasted 5.5 hours with no trouble), and I use this regularly.

How am I able to extend this, or will I simply have to find a new voice recording app when this one has completely ruined the functionality for me.

Perhaps try lowering the recording quality to see if that helps. I can't find any settings regarding the recording limit.

@JCB24: Further to the above, please open the Voice Recorder app > Tap the 3 lines in the top left > Tap the cog in the top right of the pop-up window > Recording quality, and select a lower quality option from here to see if this increases the overall recording length. It may be the case that high quality, stereo recordings are limited for storage purposes, as is the case with 4K video recordings.

I understand this may be the solution, but I really don't have a way to test this or see if it works unless I try to just record something over 3 hours. There's no limit mentioned anywhere!

Edit: Tried lowering the quality and still ran into the three hour limit (after a failed attempt which was interrupted by playing media at the 2:55 mark). Again, there is no indication of the time limit anywhere.

Solution: Turn off the galaxy ai features for the recording app.
(the off button is available now)

I was recording a game night with my friends, I needed it for another player that wasn't able to make it. The session lasted 5 hours, and I noticed the recording was only 3:00:00 long, yet I've done this week after week with no issues! This same issue. What is the issue I've determined? The new galaxy AI features can only process 3 hours of audio, so instead of just not offering it for that audio, they cap your recording, with no warning, essentially deleting all the audio you intended to record without telling you. And we all know when recordings are that long we are not eyeing the recording app every 10 seconds to see the time or make sure it's working.... this is just shameful Samsung.

Looks like there is no option to disable some AI features anymore, like the voice recorder. This is crazy 😅😅😅
