Hi @maggiethecat.
You won't need to use a VPN as the Samsung Knox security platform protects the folder and all the encrypted data stored there. This makes sure that your information is kept safe from any malicious attacks.

I think the below answers are misleading. KNOX may protect data on the phone, but it does not provide a VPN functions. So a standard attack like man in the middle can see all of your back and forth communications to the internet. Without a VPN these back and forth communications like user name and password are exposed to the attacker when using a browser or apps from within a secure folder. So yes, use a VPN in your secure folder if you access the internet from apps in that folder. I do. Running a VPN in the main app area does not seem to provide protection for the secure folder. Somebody prove me wrong.

Have you used vpn successfully in secure folder. I want to use my surfshark for apps that was geo restricted ( hotstar, Jio cinema etc. )
I dont want these apps in main profile as i dont want to activate vpn in main profile. I have my work email and teams there. My employer does not allow any work to work outside my country and using vpn may put me in an incorrrect report

Yes, Nord. For about a year. I use it in both the normal and secure area. Separate install for each, same account.

Thanks. That means surfshark should also work. Have you tried surfshark?
