Upgrade to UI8.0 Fingerprints no longer recognised

Following a (apparently) successful upgrade to 1 UI 8.0 for my Ultra S22 fingerprint recognition appears to have ceased totally. Any ideas folks?

Was the screen replaced at some point. Is screen protector on. Try diagnostics via Samsung members app

No screen protector in use. Still almost pristine. How do I re register the fingerprints?

If you go to Settings-Security and Privacy-Screen Lock and Biometrics-Fingerprints. Remove the Fingerprints and register new ones.  I find it helps registering a few fingers twice, in total you can have 4 registered.  you can also do it via Lock Screen-Screen Lock and Biometrics-Fingerprints.

This didn't work for me, 

 

I restarted my phone and finger print worked, then stopped after a short while again

 

Removed registered finger prints and now I can register new ones

Update,

 

 

Restarted the phone,

 

And went straight to fingerprints and registered new ones

 

Now its working fine
