Is it worth updating to One UI 7.0? I believe I am on the most up to date software prior to the major change. Lots of people have said they don't like the update and I don't like change so I'm undecided😅

Do not upgrade, it will make your phone literally useless. After the recent update, my phone is going into constant restarts and when it boots up it shuts down abruptly and repeats. absolutely pathetic.

Sounds bad. Loads of people have said they hated it... the new layout (apps, notification centre etc.) looks shocking

You shouldn't really delay updates. They aren't optional. They are mandatory to maintain secure and keep things working correctly. To keep your phone working how it should, always install updates as soon as you can.

As for people saying they have issues, as with all computers, now and again a small number of people have an issue. Those issues get fixed either by a later update or telling samsung about the problem for them to fix it.

Worked perfectly fine for my devices and everyone I know. Though just like windows, sometimes things happen.

Your phone is also probably really really out of date by now. One ui 7 came to the s22 a good while ago. So you'll be missing important security fixes

I hadn't had any problems. It runs like a champ...

In my opinion, it even has a little more complete ONE UI 7 than S25...

Updates should not be missed. However, I understand why some people might reluctant to do so on the S22 series. We have seen far too many posts of S22 series phones where the phone does not come back after the update.

A new layout is not a good enough reason for stopping updates, but fear of bricking the phone is understandable to me.

It is unlikely that the update is causing the issue that users have been posting about. Nevertheless, it seems common to all of them, that they had a perfectly working phone before the update and no so good after.

If the issue is a hardware problem, then Samsung should tackle this. The S22 was the flagship of the year and barely 3 years old. It is not good publicity for a flagship phone to be unusable that soon.

Technology enthusiast, but not related to any technological company.

It's up to you to update, but quite a few reports of the update bricking your phone especially the S22series and a few more.

Phone is getting old and with every year that passes the likelihood of some hardware malfunction increases. Keep backups to minimise impact if the phone fails

Then why are the updates optional in the first place?

I don't do change, it's a good enough reason...
