After updating my S22 ultra to UI 6.1 I immediately started noticing unresponsiveness of the device while opening apps, browsing and even when trying to go back to home screen. It also feels like the touch screen isnt always responding to input. The lag is intermittent and sporadic and it is very diffucult to use the phone realibly.
My version is with the exynos cpu.

Thanks but if by phone cache you mean memory, that gets reset daily.
My bigger question is what part of the new update causes the phone to lag. I also did reset animations to x 0.5 (something wgich I last had to do on my S8 when it was 5 years old!!).

My S22 ultra crashed a few days after the update and won't stay on longer than 2 minutes. I had to run out yesterday and buy the S24.

I ran into this problem too. I have an S22. Clearing chache didn't work. I tried using a different launcher but that doesn't work. My phone is completely unusable at times because of the lag. I contacted support and their answer was to delete apps until it works again, or go buy an S24. I don't know if this lag is intentional planned obsolescence but it is crazy that this is the answer I was given.

As I can see there no perfect answer for the problem you have mentioned. I was trying to tackle the same issue and was able to decrease the lagg some what in my home screen and slutter animations . Solution is to go to recovery mode and clear the cache command multiple times (I found this somewhere in YouTube) so that it can actually clear the cache from the storage. Second is decreasing pressure on hardware by going 60hz refresh rate and decreasing the display resolution. Till now everything going well. But need some better solution to this because iam not able utilities it's full potential. Iam on snapdragon version

I tried multiple times clearing the cache. Nothing works. It doesn't turn on anymore and won't even go into recovery mode. I'm absolutely livid and Samsung will not do anything about this. I even took it to one of those cell phone repair places and they can't even reflash it. My phone is only 2 years old and I'm quite pissed off that I had to go and buy a new one

Visit to samsung service centre for software issues they can help you with the re-flash your broken software. You can even request them to install the old version of one ui (I guess). 🤞 Wish you luck 👍
