SUGGESTION: Please add an option to turn off NFC

I don't normally leave NFC on for two reasons: Security and Power saving. Could you please add an option that allows users to set a configurable timeout option for enabled NFC, say 5 minutes after it has been enabled/last used?

Can't you just swipe down from the top of the screen into the quick panel and turn it off manually?

Hi, If you are thinking of NFC for paying for items how about setting up a routine? You can do this from Settings->Modes and Routines. Be interested to know if it helps. When you open the wallet app it turns NFC on and off when you exit the app. Attach a screenshot of the routine. Hope this helps!

NFC can be turned off via the methods above.

Unless you are using it for the London Transport, it is worth turning off. You can still use your debit and credit cards with NFC off.

It doesn't make sense. NFC is ready only when screen is on. The power consumption is very low and it just waits, it is passive. So saving batery doesn't make sense. The same security, you have to turn the screen on. 

But OK, you can create a rutine which waits 5 minutes and then turns off NFC. Unfortunatelly Routines doesn't allow more than one operation with a resource so you cannot create a routine which turns NFC on, waits 5 minutes and turns it back off.

I turn on NFC using a routine to turn on NFC when Google Wallet is opened. NFC is turned off automatically when the app is closed.
