Hi I've purchased the s22 ultra and wow its awesome apart from the battery life that's rubbish has per anyways is there a different way I can screenshot my screen using the s pen without having to play with the smart select thanks.

I personally take a screenshot using the tasks option in my edge panel.

If I have my sPen out then I always use the Screen Write option to screenshot. 

If you tap on air actions you can also set the button on the spen to screen write when you hold it down so it takes a screenshot. 

You can also set what the pen does with various movements i.e up and down to use screen write.

If you have just purchased the device.
Then it's still in a usage pattern learning phase.
After this it settles down and you should find it gets much better
