I have just swapped over to a Samsung S22 from a Samsung S20 FE (great phone). Now when I use google assistant with Android Auto the voice echos. I had a brand new loan car and tried in this one on bluetooth so not even wired in and had the same fault.
Is this a Samsung S22 issue? I have checked all the settings on the old phone and the new one and they are all the same. Same software versions, all apps are updated...yet on the old phone it does not echo...the new one it does and it misses off Waze directions too.... Any one have any ideas? Or is it time to leave Samsung and swap to an Iphone?

Urgh, it is ridiculous. I don't understand how on my S20 its perfectly fine...but not on the new phone? I am tempted to send the phone back and get a new one and see if it still does it? I am sure it must be a software issue on the newer phone.

I'm going to factory reset it and just hot spot my old S20 and see if that cures the android auto issue... if not I have a couple of weeks to send it back.. I'm in a new contract now though so don't really want to lose that... such a pain. Waze also drops out its awful, the phone itself is fine in everything except android auto.

Following on from my original post... I found the solution from another Web page... plenty of trawling. Reset the sound equaliser to normal and take off the adapt sound and then no echo in the car. My waze issue, I simply changed the voice.... and now it works.... however, it does mean I can't amend the sound settings or it echos again. This is a Samsung issue. Didn't do this with the S20... so I think it needs a software update... when you plug in to android auto, it should automatically select normal sound or something.
