I am having an issue with my phone where any charger, any cable I use it says water detected and prevents my phone from charging. Is there anything that I can do to resolve this. I have cleared the port and still the same thing, my phone isn't wet and is dried out and still does the same thing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

Maybe it's worth buying an air canister? .

Could be a software issue? Worse case, try a factory reset—back up your data first.

Be careful when attempting to charge, as this could cause worse issues.

Maybe it's worth contacting Samsung

@Arine Have you tried the interactive checks?   Go to Samsung Members-Support-Phone Diagnosics-Cable charging.   If error is highlighted you would need to contact Samsung Support or visit a service centre.Try a Forced Restart by holding the  Volume Down and Power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds until the Device  Reboots.  I am also aware of a few customers though   who did not notice any debris/mositure  but it was detected by an employee at the Samsung Service centre, not saying this is necessarily the case in your situation.

If  not solved  you could try clearing the USB cache  as shown in this article https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/my-device-displays-a-water-drop-icon-and-will-not-...

You could try in Safe Mode as sometimes there can be conflicts with 3rd party apps and if resolved in this mode would pinpoint recent third party apps which have been installed (if applicable).

May still be need to contact support if the Troubleshooting fails.

I have a device to test charging efficiency. I checked 5 different usb-C cables. 1 cable immediately caused my S25+ to start beeping vibrating and mesage advising "We've detected moisture or foreign material i your charging/USB port."
The funny thing is - that this is impossible. Because the cable was plugged not in to the phone, but the device. See pictures.
A connection error showed after connecting this cable through the device to S22.

My sister received a Gift S25.
On third charge she had this MOISTURE error. And could not charge the phone with any charger. So it died. And only started charging after 5 days of death on the day she decided to take it back for warranty. But since then, she is using the same cable and charget and it seems to work ok. (i guess until next random message appears)

So it seems this problem is quite common

I'm not certain if this is helpful but I encountered a similar problem with my S23 a couple of years ago. It turned out to be the charging bricks I was using! I attempted to use my mother's Huawei charging brick and it triggered a moisture warning each time; a hotel charger did the same. I then switched to the original Samsung brick that came with my S9, using a type C Female to USB A Male cable converter and haven't had the issue with any devices since. Does it make a difference whether fast charging is enabled or disabled?

I experienced a similar problem with my previous S22 phone. I resolved it by clearing the USB cache (accessible through Settings, then Apps, then Show System Apps; search for USB to locate it), followed by a forced restart. It seems this was a relatively common issue among S22 models.
