S22 ultra killed by May 2024 One UI update, no longer fast or superfast charging.....only wireless

Is anybody else experiencing issues with charging after installing the latest update?

I can no longer charge my phone by plugging in, tried numerous adaptors and new power leads......the only way I can charge is wireless.

My Wife has the Z4 fold and had exactly the same issue after an update 4 months ago. 

Don't they bench test for bugs before they release an update. I have always been an avid samsung galaxy fan but they really let themselves down in this area.......so frustrating.

Just installed the patch update hoping for a fix and it now says charging......charged 1% and stops

Did you try some troubleshooting like wipe phone cache? Diagnostics via Samsung members app? And finally if all failed contact Samsung support

Hi, tried numerous things like booting in safe mode and cleaning my phone up. Will deleting the cache remove all my logins, photos and data? Will download the samsung members app

No, wiping phone cache will only remove various temp files

Hi post is for S24 series ....... are the instructions the same as its not working just boots as normal and don't really have an android logo just says powered by Android below samsung galaxy

My One UI 6 S22 Ultra (On May security patch) went into bootloop randomly before 72 hours, then kept on restarting (showing only Samsung logo, no lockscreen) for around 24 hours. Then i tried few button combinations, managed to get into download mode. It showed the Download mode screen and after that it's totally dead. Not even getting charged. I'm from India, out of warranty. Service centre is saying motherboard failure. Motherboard replacement costs Rs.41k (~$500). Not doing it. Samsung must replace affected device motherboards for free, else why would I buy a phone that costs like a vehicle if they cannot provide peace of mind to customers Galaxy S22

I have the Z5 flip, and that has been fine after the update

When connecting a charger to my phone it will say fast charging for a few minutes then always go into slow charging. Really difficult to charge phone getting times of 2 or 4 hours!
I found if I switch off the phone then charge it will charge normally very quickly. Not sure what update has caused this probably the may update. It's infuriating. I'm on One Ui 6.1 now and that has the same problem.
