My S22 ultra is dead. Firstly My device was starting freezing and restarting randomly like 2 to 3 times a day. Then suddenly one day it continuously restarting itslef again and again like 8 to 10 times and after that phone never switched on. I faced this issue after updating it to One Ui 7 and may security update in june 2025 before that i was using my device perfectly, there was no single issue regarding anything.
I visited the service center and after 2 days they told me that there is motherboard fault and battery fault on my device, and repairing cost is 44 k aprrox.
I just got frusted after listening it, i mean whose fult it was, Since this issue occured after updating it One UI 7 Samsung should take responsibility about this we payed lots of money and it was your falgship device., samsung cannot deny just saying that your device is out of warranty.
I want my device back to normal since it was not my fault otherwise i have to take action against samsung.

Poor response! There are many changes that are quite operating system intensive that have been deemed features but depend highly on the individual even down their mobile carrier signal hand-off. A primary example is Intelligent Wi-Fi with advanced settings that can put a strain on both phone and user. Samsung should have put this option in the Connections, Wi-Fi submenu as it is certainly as "Important" as WiFi Calling, yet is instead under Wi-Fi in the 3 dot top corner options. In my humble but with Years of experience opinion, this is just really bad programming for any logical user interface. Who reviews logical user interface when putting any changes in these updates, esp. changes that make the above user question more relevant and important than your response? There is even an option that affects Wi-Fi calling where it can switch to mobile, mobile data, when a Wi-Fi signal is "weak" but the mobile signal carrier signal could be much worse. This is an example of where Samsung isn't really even balancing option with operating system. Any Samsung phone, especially an S22 Ultra, should not be stressed that a response of any sort goes to "motherboard." It doesn't matter (or does the same) who the user is or what features or options are used before or after any update, Samsung must bear the responsibility of just understanding how their phones operate under conditions past 2 years. That provided warranty period doesn't create any relevancy to phone, user or update. Business is business, so don't think your response has any such relevance by warranty period. A moderator must have experience in customer service probably moreso than in superficial tech. I don't need a response. I just felt it my need to provide by my experience and as an owner of Samsung phones for 20 years. Pass this on

I just want to add that I have had no problems with my S22 Ultra previously but after the ONE UI 7 and recent security patch my phone froze after turning on WiFi and continued in a restart loop continuously.
Eventually the phone somehow fixed itself and works like normal but turning the WiFi back on caused the phone to restart again.
A very recent post on the S22 ultra subreddit (on Reddit) has also indicated that WiFi may have caused their reboot loop issue to happen too

Same thing happened to mine , Was using S22 ultra , no issues for 2yrs and after UI7 update phone battery starting draining and then after further update last week the whole phone went to drain , crashing and freezing again and again , went to Samsung service and they are saying motherboard issue and need to replace motherboard .After putting in so much money and trust in samsung for so many years this is the result . Thinking of switching to iphone after this betrayal . So many ppl with same issue and they are not ready to take any accountability. It's better to switch to another company seriously

Same thing just happened to my S22 Ultra days ago. Had no issue with the phone prior. Update got pushed in the morning hours, it booted into android for just over an hour, then randomly froze and rebooted. It then got stuck in a bootloop and now looks to be bricked. This is absolutely unacceptable! I see a class action lawsuit headed Samsung's way.

Correct samsung should fix this because one side you are saying we are giving 6 years of update and on other hand samsung flagship don't able to handle 2 to 3 years of updates then why samsung fooling there customers. Since customers are facing the issue after updating then it's samsung responsibility to fix the issue on his own..

Very disappointing for are flagship device.
Samsung should think of there loyal and valuable customers.

Mr Andrewl
We are here to make you aware about the issues we are facing after updating our device to one ui 7 and I also posted a vedio where my phone got stuck on a point. We are very serious about the issue because we trust samsung from many years. Meanwhile samsung is fixing the devices free of cost which is effected by green line issue then why samsung is taking so much of time to consider this motherboard issue as a software fault because of which its hardware got damaged. And we are feeling helpless beacuse it's not our fault.
A software is damaging the samsung flagship devices within 2 to 3 years then what is the point to announce 6 years of updates when the hardware is not able to handle 3 years of update.
This is very disappointing for a customer.
Samsung should think of there customers. Because many people are facing this type of issues on there devices and we are very disappointed with this. Me as a samsung fan, feel cheated when this happened with me. Still I am waiting in a hope that samsung will fix it and not let there customer feel helpless regarding there devices and services.

Kindly go through all the complains which samsung customers making and everyone out there want there devices to be OK.
Samsung softwares are making there devices dead. And samsung is hiding behind the warranty guidelines. When customers are facing the issue after updating the software then samsung should take the responsibility to fix the issue. So that customers can trust samsung strongly otherwise customer have to choose another path...

Correct
If samsung is not serious about the issues we are facing then we should be serious about them let them face the sudden drop in customers.
We are betrayed by samsung just by a simple software update and our money just blown in front of our eyes like samsung is telling us that they can do whatever and whenever they want.
Then we should unite & let samsung feel the pain of losing.
