Hi everyone,
I am one of the many S22 Ultra users facing the infamous bootloop issue that started after Samsung's software update. Like many of you, I was forced to approach the service center, where my ordeal escalated:

• My fully functional display was returned damaged. They are asking charges for motherboard replacement.

• Despite my efforts, including escalating to Samsung head office and CEO, they refused to acknowledge their mistakes.
Evidence I Have:
Evidences confirming Samsung acknowledged the bootloop issue was caused by a software update.

Call recordings where I got direct assurance from Samsung VOC Team Lead where he clearly mentioned if anything happens to customer's device due to any software/technical issues then it's company's problem and company will bear the cost of repair irrespective of warranty status.

I had sent a legal notice to which they have responded in a dismissive attitude trying to say we don't care and are trying to hide behind their warranty policy. Probably they don't know the laws of Consumer Protection Act,2019.

If you’ve faced similar issues:
• Let’s collaborate to hold Samsung accountable.
• Share your stories—together, we can present a stronger case. I am planning to pursue a class action lawsuitIf you’d like to join pls reply here.

This isn't just about getting our devices fixed. It's about setting a precedent to ensure Samsung takes responsibility for its defective updates and unethical practices.

sorry to hear that, I'm still having issues myself for about 8 months now. My phone is a brick unless it's on a wireless network or occasionally I'll get service from the mobile network but not much. Anyhow what you are experiencing  is really an Android issue, although all phone manufacturers get the update from Android they do make changes to fit their applications before sending it out. I would suggest you start a thread over there or Google the issue you stated here on an Android forum also

Samsung has to test update before they are pushed out. It is there hardware that is dead.  If they wish to work with Google on the issue that is great. But my S22 is totally dead and the phone is there issue.

Sorry to hear that you're one of the thousands of people getting screwed by Samsung. Not to worry my family has a couple of lawyers and we're working on litigation against Samsung and they're going to get hit so hard they're going to have their head spin. Also reached out to dozens of other lawyers nationwide to come up with a class action suit. I have a YouTube channel where I have thousands of followers and tens of thousands of views on this new channel that puts Samsung to shame. I have prevented hundreds if not thousands of people from buying their products due to their lack of compassion and lack of support, they put out updates that harm the phones so you have to buy a new one. This is just about criminal and it will make nationwide if not worldwide News. This undercover ***** will be exposed. This happened with update 7 sometimes with update 6 and update 8. I'm talking UI and also some of these security updates like yours number 16 I believe it's just a way to destroy phones so they can make you buy new ones. The update that affected most of us was UI 7 which the corrupt software destroyed the antenna portion of the hardware and you could not use it to connect to your wireless network it only becomes a useless brick if you are inside a place with Wi-Fi you can connect with it that's about it

Experienced same issue.

Got my S22 Ultra stuck in bootloop in September 2025. Samsung service centre refuses that it's caused by software update. Instead blamed motherboard and wants AUD 800 to fix it.

Absolutely ridiculous. Samsung has lost the trust.

I had ordered zfold 7 but I returned it back. Such a poor customer service and unprofessional and unethical business practices. I have been with Samsung for more than a decade but now won't buy Samsung. any more.

Would like to join class action to set a precedence so that it doesn't happen in future.

Hello, I have the same issue with my s22  ultra. Phone will only work laying on an ice pack, and barely long enough to transfer a couple hundred files at a time. I have the back glass removed so what I’ve been doing is taking the battery cable off and then re attaching. That allows the phone to reboot way faster for some reason. The kicker to this whole thing is I have a spare note 9 that I started using again and I had to update that as well to use some of my previous apps. Samsungs update bricked that phone as well. Two phones down in less than a week. If they don’t address this issue I will never be back to them for anything.
