Yeah, have had the same problem since the Security update released by Verizon on 2022-03-22. My phone says security level is "March 1, 2022". I have a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. This wasn't a problem prior to the security patch update. Haven't played around with changing Developer Settings yet.

@Erik V: Please can you try heading to Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Separate App Sound > Turn On Now > App > Samsung Music > Audio Device > Select your car's system. Alternatively, if possible, connect your phone to your car via USB cable to avoid any conflicts with the dual Bluetooth connection.

i have not manage to test the solution yet, but in my case that would be terrible idea to assign the music app to just the car. Because in my home i stream music thrue BT to other devices as well. Cable in 2022 ? hey samsung removed the earphone plug from there phones.

I have the same issue. My phone will not stay connected to my car through Bluetooth if it also connected to my Galaxy Watch.

I mentioned the problem on my topic
The easiest "solution" right now is to set Bixby routines to disconnect bluetooth from the watch while connected to cars bluetooth. It will allow you to use car audio for now
