S22 Plus no mains plug

Got the S22 Plus that came with the cable but no mains plug. The cable does not have the usual USB plug it is the new smaller type. So does this mean I have to buy the newer plug before I can charge it? What is the point of buying a phone that I cannot charge without buying something else. Bit like buying a car with no engine.

Yes you have to buy a charger unfortunately. They stopped providing it I think 2 years ago.

There's no point in Samsung and Apple to keep providing the same chargers every year when some already have the same from previous model.

Like me I have 4 Samsung chargers and 5 Apple chargers.🤦🏽‍♀️. Too many.

But... I think Samsung should give first time users free charger in the box. It's fair.

it's becoming common practice for suppliers to sell products without these kind of power supplies. it reduces carbon footprint on transportation and reduces damage to the environment by minimising manufacture. the idea being that you already have one... or... you will buy one now and not need to replace it until it breaks and continue to use the supply with other devices. unfortunately sometimes ideas don't quite match market demand. pop out and buy yourself a good power supply and it should outlast several S22's
