My S22 keeps restarting randomly - when opening apps, answering calls, watching videos. It happens maybe once or twice a day. I do have the auto restart feature on either. Does anyone know why, and if theres an easy fix? my phone also heats up very quickly, not sure if it's related.

Have you made sure your on the latest software version. If you are then turn off the auto restart feature, if that's off and it keeps turning off randomly, then it might be because its overheating, and you possibly might need to factory reset. Look on Google and research if anyone has the same issues and see what they have done. 👍🏽

A few things to try.
*very first is to go to samaung members apps- support- diagnostics. All pass okie?
Then- clear cache partition
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/
*make sure device is plugged in before attempting
*if it doesnt work it may be time to backup all data backed up to PC via smart switch. Then a factory reset.
If still nothing it could be time to contact customer support for a repair
*UK weather is getting hotter which may lead to overheating. Your phone being 3 years old the battery could also develop a fault.
