Has anyone else had problems with Google Maps? I always had spoken directions with my previous Hauwei phone, but with my S22, it makes up its own mind whether it is going to speak or not! Sometimes it will start off, and then not speak for the rest of the journey, other times its OK, and often I get nothing at all.
HAS ANYONE ANY IDEA WHAT I CAN DO?
I am at a loss as to what is making it do this. I have removed Maps and reinstalled, but it has made no difference. Help?
Thanks

I prefer Waze for navigation but have had issues occasionally where the voice gets muted, not sure how it happens but closing the apps and restarting usually sorts it out. It's worth changing the voice to different voice as there can be issues with certain voices sometimes. Hope this helps

It's spoken all the time today without me doing anything! Just no rhyme or reason! I'll still investigate though

It's probably a case of identifying what you do at the time it happens or just before e.g if you get a call it switches sound off etc so could be an issue with a certain app or Bluetooth not switching it back on

Strange thing. After a break, I lost the voice, but you can hear it faintly in the background when someone calls, but not after they ring off. No idea at all! Lol. All I can think of is, that it happens after the USB port has been used. Loose or bad connection?

Possibly. I think it's related to auto stop start in audio. I have put up another post about audio starting by itself in the background even with no app running i.e it starts playing the last thing you listened to on its own either when you get in car and Bluetooth connects the last thing you listened to starts playing or when you get out of car to pay the fuel i.e it switches off as normal when you open car door but sat nav or streaming radio starts itself whilst in the queue waiting to pay for fuel so there is a glitch somewhere in audio auto start stop. It might help to disable auto start stop in apps or settings and just start and stop manually but the auto stopping etc is a useful function when it works

That sounds complicated but I'll have a look! Thanks
