I received my Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB, Exynos version, over a week before official release date. As I was using the phone I discovered several bugs with my unit, screen blackouts, occasionaly freezes, conversations loosing sound, phon not reachable over GSM network even if my signals was good. I decided to wait until official release date to see if new software would be released. On the 25th Samsung released new firmware for my phone, and I did a complet factory reset after new firmware was installed. I am now on firmware S908BXXU1AVBF and fresh phone setup.
My screen problems seems to be gone, but GSM network issues are still there. Several times I have been made aware of that my phone can not be reached by callers, even if phone is showing signals. Solution, reboot. Turning on and off flightmode did not help. Also I am experiencing sound dropouts during calls, call is not droped but sound oth ways are lost, duration 10 - 15 seconds. Also when making a call the phone uses much longer time to set up the call than other phones I have had. Calling my self from other phones give simular results, setting up phone calles to my Galaxy S22 Ultra take much longer then calling others.
Have been in contact with Samsung support, but there is no help to get there. Try this, try that, over and over again. I am starting to loose my patients now, and its impossible for me to have a phone I dont know if I can be reached at, and when I manage to set up a call, sound is lost several times during the call.

I still plan on hating Samsung for what they have done with the S22 ultra, but I have a friend who installs CCTV systems and business electronics, and he sold me an expensive cell phone booster at cost and I installed it. Using the Samsun Band App I turned off 5g on the phone and with LTE only. I now have had several marathon phone calls in the same location in my home office where I was dropping calls badly. When testing the cell signals in my area (from the roof of my hilltop home) I learned that there are several Verizon towers within 1500 meters of my home. The sophisticated cell booster test system said I had strong but conflicted signals, or "low signal quality". Since no cell booster in the U.S. can yet amplify 5g, I turned it off on my phone and suddenly had a working phone at this location. My amateur conclusion is that the S22ultra has a software problem that keeps it from negotiating and/or locking onto a weak signal in a conflicted cell signal area because (at least Verizon) only wants me to connect to 5g. Turning OFF the cell booster and leaving my phone just on LTE, not 5g, and I will drop calls again. So I believe 5g CAN complicate the problem of conflicting cell signals on the Ultra, but it's not the single demon in the problem. The Ultra software can NOT negotiate any moderately corrupted signal. My phone appears to work perfectly in most other areas whether on LTE or 5g, but does hiccup occasionally in certain heavily populated areas.

I'm having weaker GSM signal strength on my S22 ultra compared to note 20 ultra. Calls cut quite easily and places where note 20 never cut.

Experimenting... Please if you can, try it out with me to see if it helps or not:
I had a similar issue with my old OP5t phone, and the solution was to turn OFF the VoLTE (Voice over LTE) option.
It's under Settings>Connections>Mobile networks>VoLTE calls
Also disabled 5g (might not be the cause of the issue, but the coverage is quite poor anyhow)
Additional question: Is it possible that mostly/only T-Mobile is afffected?
Looking forward to your results!

LOL... Bogo1, thank you for your nice comment. It was really helpful!
I know I know, there is a magical 25mb fix for the issue what is being held by our cruel service provider, even if we bought our phone unlocked from Samsung
I just wanted to see if there is any WORKAROUND till the fix arrive, since we are not able to use our quite expensive phones at the moment!
VoLTE caused issues on other phones as well.
Also as I can see from the comments what I did read (maybe not all the 58 pages, but most of them), even from other forums, that T-Mobile users are reporting most of the issues.
I have a Voda sim as well, works fine without any issues in the same phone...
