Phone update

Hi, I have recently purchased a docomo galaxy s22 . I was wondering if my phone would get an update since I dont live in japan . When I go to the update option it shows that phone is upto date . I am confused whether if my phone will or not.

If you're using a phone in a country it wasn't made for, usually updates stop working on it. You can try to use a pc with the smart switch software to update it. Another method is to buy a cheap pay as you go sim card for the original country, then put it in the phone once a month to update

Samsung devices are region locked. If outside the intended region= wont get the updates
