My samsung galaxy s22 says it's over used it's mobile data and now it keeps switching off and won't work. I have had to use my old phone for now. I don't know what to do? It originally was saying Instagram was using too much data. I tried to use data saver but it didn't work. I even deleted the app but then it said my apps were using too much mobile data. I deleted lots of apps, tried to clear cache and other data saver tips but nothing worked. How can that be if I'm connected to wifi all day. Is this a technical issue with ee or my phone?

You could try talking to EE and explain the issue you're having. Get them to double check your data allowance and current usage. They may be able to offer more solutions.
With regards to your phone, it may be just easier to perform a backup, and factory reset it.

Hey there

Have you got a limited data package and have you exceeded it?

Have you got Data Warning set up on your device (it usually defaults to 2gb)?

Hi yes, but took data warning off as it kept warning me and doing the same thing. And I just had an upgrade to unlimited at the store which they said would start in 24 hrs but I think it may start on the first as that's when it renews. But why should it stop when on wifi?

Thanks, I will try calling them tomorrow. If not do a factory reset.

Hopefully, it's just because your unlimited allowance hasn't activated yet. If so, then maybe hold off doing the factory reset as it might not be needed. 🤞

Did you ever get this resolved? My Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra just started doing the same thing a few days ago. I can only get it to work while I am connected to wi-fi. It says the same thing about being over my data limits but my husband and I both have unlimited data so I should not be receiving this message at all. I've tried clearing the cache, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling many apps, I've restarted my phone many, many times and nothing seems to work.

Hey @TABeam

Is there a limit set on your phone? If you're unsure, head into Settings > Connections > Data usage > Billing cycle and data warning. From here, you'll be able to disable the 'Set data limit' and 'Set data warning' features.

Yes I have turned that off and it still does the same thing and then I have also set the limit to an extremely high limit and still doesn't help.

That is a little strange. Is your phone running on the latest software update? If you're unsure, head into Settings > Software update > Download and install.

If it is, I'd like you to send in an error report so that our engineers can look into what's causing this issue. You can do this by heading into Samsung Members > Get help/Support > Send feedback > Error reports. Please be sure to send this within 10 minutes of experiencing the issue, alongside attaching the error logs and a detailed entry.
