Phone calling itself which also mutes the alarm clock

After the recent update, i found when jumping into the car that the car display would show the phone calling itself. I ended the call each time but there was no call, no call history etc.

Next issue however was no alarm (was now late for work). On testing the alarm, i found that when i went to change the ringtone, a message would pop up saying tones could not be played during a call - but i was not on a f$^%*n call.

I have tried changing settings to allow an alarm during calls, did not work, turned off bluetooth to no avail and still have an issue of a phone being in a call, when it is not.

@Iwik1: If you head to Settings > Modes and Routines, do you have any routines set up that might account for the issue you're experiencing? If not, try heading to Settings > Apps > Phone > Force stop, to see if this helps. I also recommend restarting your phone to resolve any software issues.

Hi Andrew, thanks for the prompt reply. i forgot to mention that i had also restarted the phone 3 times.

No modes/routines set but forcing the phone app to stop as suggested allowed me to change the ringtone (meaning the alarm should now work). I restarted the phone and could still change the alarm ringtone meaning so far, so good.

Will trial the over the next 24 hours (see if alarm works when needed and any calls i receive do not again lock the phone function) and if the issue has resolved, will mark your advice as the solution. Thanks again.

Hi Andrew, first off, i am in the wrong forum as i have an S22+

The solution worked for a week and then came back with a vengeance (late for work again)

I forced a stop but had to repeat 3 times within 2 hours (5 times during the day, rebooted the phone also) and again no alarm this morning when i forced a stop before hitting the sack.

Is there any means in which to find what App may be triggering the issue?
