Why doesn't my S22 ultra a flagship device have L1 but L3 wideline and can't play Netflix HDR? Support asked me to ask you.

Tell support to remove Netflix and restart the phone. Then reinstall Netflix. And L1 will return.

And as for latest

It's a shame that S22 series is not mentioned as compatible devices and neither are the latest Z series phones.

Amazon Video, Disney+, Paramount+ and others, they all act like only TVs exists to justify their laziness and not need to support features like HDR and Dolby Atmos on mobile devices. Yet they continue increasing subscription prices and expect people to pay for their overpriced plans while naive users watch their content in SDR and stereo sound.

Got L1 here on my S22 ultra. Perhaps clearing the cache and doing a reinstall will fix it for you.Screenshot_20220908-220308_Netflix.jpg

Yes and neither Samsung or Netflix aren't fixing it. What to do?

I have to uninstall, restart phone, reinstall app and then it's okay for a day or two. Then I have to do it again
