I had the same issue of not getting a network after the update. I factory reset several times and it resolved the issue however the issue again came back after another security update. so I factory reset again several times but the issue didn't get resolved. so I took my phone to the Samsung Service Centre. After talking to various levels of Customer Representatives several times and waiting about 1 month, they agreed to repair my phone for free even though it was out of warranty. Now my phone works fine with no issue with the network. I was told that they had replaced the antenna unit. NONETHELESS, I AM SATISFIED WITH SAMSUNG FOR LISTENING TO MY COMPLAIN AND REPAIRING MY PHONE FOR FREE EVEN THOUGH OUT OF WARRANTY.

So is the only real solution to go round and round with Samsung for a month or so until they finally fix it? I sure hope that isn't the case because that's ridiculous. I've been experiencing this for a few weeks now and it's extremely frustrating and I'm about ready to get rid of my samsung.

I am having this same issue following an update several days ago. Phone connects to 5g UC on tmobile but not LTE. 0011 diagnostic screen show phone registering and degrestering from LTE towers and signal strengths that are pretty average for my phone. EMM cause is #1 which there is no description for online that i can find. Dereg-2 is the status, and it will continue cycling through available bands attempting to establish connection to a tower and can't. S22 Ultra

Don't knownif you got this resolved yet but just had this issue as well. Tried a few things and then checked my data usage limit and it was set to 2.0 GB for the month so it cut me off instantly after the update. I changes the limit and then rebooted my phone and all seems fine now. Hope it helps

Unfortunately, mine has not been resolved. I changed the data usage limits right away to 1 TB. It initially thinks it's resolved, but then shuts right back of again. I went in to Verizon a few days ago and he told me that he has heard of this issue and he removed my physical SIM card and replaced it with an eSIM. He said that should definitely fix it, that nobody has been back yet after they do that. Well, unfortunately that didn't work for me either. I went back in today and I had a different Tech and after trying everything again, she reset my network settings. She said that should fix the issue and if not, then to submit an insurance claim to get a new phone. It seemed to do the trick, as I went shopping after and had connection the entire time. After I returned home however it happened again. I made sure my network connection passwords and everything were set again and I once again have service. However, I am not holding my breath. I will post a follow up in a day or two

This happened to me about a week ago, around November 16, 2024. It drove me crazy, I did a whole bunch of research, saw that many users of S22 had this issue, it did not matter who the service provider was: ATT, Verizon, TMobile, etc... many people blamed service providers, they are probably just "salty" toward them, haha. Then I stumbled upon someone who said the antenna can fail, I did even more research and saw that the antenna is like $12 on Amazon. So, I ordered the antenna and charging board (board the antenna snaps into), as sometimes the board's pins can wear down and fail as well. SOOOOO, before the parts were delivered 3 days later, Samsung pushed out a "security update patch," which turned out to be a software update... it was literally, this morning. See attached pic for update...and BOOM! NO MORE ISSUES. It is a software issue, and Samsung needs to push it out. The funny part is im getting ready to apply heat to back of my phone and take adhesive and back off phone, pull electronics apart, put new electronics in, etc... lol, and it's just a software update. Geesh. I mean, can it be an antenna issues? Maybe for some... but it's probably a software issue for most.

That's great to hear! Verizon finally had me take mine to Asurion so they could fix it. When I walked in to Asurion, he asked what phone I had. I replied "Samsung S22 Ultra. I'm having connection issues related to mobile data..." He interrupted and said "say no more, let me see if I have the parts to fix it." He returned and told me it would take a couple hours to fix. I said, "you know what's wrong? You haven't even looked at it." He told me it is a known issue and the fix is to replace the antennaand the charging board. I went back a few hours later and issue 100% resolved! I haven't had any issues since, and that was about 3 weeks ago!

Same problem. My SIM is not connecting to the network ever since I updated the software couple of days back to UI 6.1. I tried resetting network, wipe cache and phone reboot. A lot of people have encountered this issue. Samsung should be sued for this as they are purposely making this happen so that people buy new models. Mine is Galaxy 22 ultra and it's an expensive phone

Yeah, definitely don't sell or trade in phone. Mine is S22 Ultra, and update completely fixed it! But at the most, it is an antenna issue, any cell phone repair place can fix it for maybe $100? They might say the board the antenna connects to might need replacing as well, depends on condition of connecting pins on board and antenna. If that's the case, it might cost up to $200, but not any more. I definitely wouldn't assume it is permanently broke and you need to update it to another $1000 phone. Maybe push Samsung to cover cost of antenna, but phone is 2 years, going on 3 years old. I LOVE mine and it should be fine for another 2 or 3 years, easy. The part is literally $12 on Amazon, but then you have to take back off phone and do work yourself, which is super easy, just snapping antenna into place. If you have a buddy that is good with electronics, watch some youtube vids and do it yourself if the 100 or 200 is steep, no one would blame you. That's the route I was going to go before the update fixed mine! Let us know ow how you faired.

Thanks to this topic, I've solved the same problem on a Samsung S20 after 3 months of frustration and no fix with the update. 2€+shipment for the antenna flex, and I fixed it myself. Samsung really would need to be sued for this, it cannot be legal
