I have an S22 Ultra. I have added my name and medical information using the Contacts App, and checked "show on lockscreen", but they do not appear on the lockscreen, and my name is shown as Unknown Name. The emergency contacts are displaying as they should. Any suggestions?

Given that owners of Samsung phones can’t find the emergency information, it may as well not be there. What’s the likelihood that some passing Good Samaritan who finds you unconscious in the street will know how to access that information?

That's exactly my thought. I'm an Addison's patient and next to my pass, I always have my phone on me with loads of other medical information on it. When I pass out nobody can view this info and that worries me. Apparently Samsung/Google overdid their security thing making the chance to get through a crisis even slimmer. Nice one. I also tried to get an app icon fixed on the lock screen, this app gives medical personnel and bystander the instruction to inject my lifesaving medicine. It's got a step-by-step video instructions but hey, someone first needs to try to get my phone unlocked and well, after 5 to 10 minutes that isn't needed anymore. Even the 3x press on the volume down button needs me to put in my code. And they call it a smartphone... I've read that Apple has much better support so jumping from the Android/Samsung wagon is the only option to have a bit more certainty, and 8 years of support, and..... I really love Android but the implemented security measures are totally counter-productive and I really could result in death. Again, got to love Smartphones, Android and Samsung for this...

Thank you all for the info on how to show my medical info and emergency contacts on my lock screen. I have the S23 and an S23 Ultra, but I was not seeing this info. Now I do. I sure hope all emergency personal know how to access this feature.

thank you so much, Andrew, for stating how to locate this info. I, too, was not seeing it. I had no idea I had to select emergency call to see it.

haha you sound like me. I looked everywhere, too. I have a slew of meds, surgeries and medial ailments that needed to be known incase my mouth wasn't working. ( I'm sure there are a few people who would like to see that. Lol)

Dumbest system in the world. How the hell are people supposed to know a section contains that info when it's not labeled correctly?!

@michelleuk: If you swipe upwards on your lock screen to enter your PIN/Pattern/Password, then 'Emergency Call' will be visible at the bottom of the screen. If you don't have an active Lock screen security option then it will not be visible.
