You should check if there is a hidden file for that. Many applications like Word, Vim create a hidden file that show that the file has been opened by the app. Deleting this file might get rid of this problem.
On 'My Files' app settings you can set to show hidden files and check if there is a file with similar name that begins with a dot '.'. e.g. the file is called 'myNote.txt' and the hidden file is usually called '.myNote.txt'

Same issue here, factory reset my phone & restored using Samsung backup, all works fine except Samsung have told me I need to know what my very first password was from 3 years ago in order to be able to unlock my notes - no chance I will remember that so they are lost forever.
samsung must have a record of my password somewhere though as how will they be able to ever check I’m typing the correct password?
Im sure this cannot be the normal way of doing things….
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
