I personally prefer samsung messages, google has a weird feel to it, one of my family members like it, although it does have most of the same features as samsung messages it just doesn't feel nice, but it's whatever u prefer.

Depends on Preference, to me Google Messages  seems a bit more minimalist whereas Samsung Messages is more attractive .  They do though offer a lot of the same features, only Samsung's version offers though offers a 30 day retention of deleted messages though backing up is always recommended.

See some information in this article https://androidfit.com/google-messages-vs-samsung-messages-which-is-the-best-messaging-app

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

To me Samsung Messages feels more optimised for the phone and offers me everything what I need @Stevew79

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Do people find that 'chat' style messaging works well on Samsung's Messages app? Due to laziness, I still use Google's Messages app, but find that delivery of 'chat' messages can be very unreliable, and I have to configure message sending as SMS to work.
