Galaxy S22/S22+ - Which one and colour would you choose and why?

Hi fellow Samsung Members.

Your thoughts on the S22 and S22+? 

Which one and colour would you go for and why? 

I've gone for S22 because of its compact look and great neat design. Coming from a S20 with a slightly bigger battery, I don't mind the slight reduction in capacity (3700mAh) on the 22 as I'm a light to medium phone user.

The colour I chose is the Green because it looks so lush and the colour is a great fit for the 22. 

It'll be interesting to get other members thoughts and comments on these phones

Nice choice 👌  .

I chose the Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra in Phantom Black. 

I chose this colour because I'm drawn to the true black this colour brings.

It's sleek.

I also always put an official Samsung Black Leather Cover Case that clips onto the back so any other colour would have been hidden from view anyway.

The case remains on all the time i.e I do not remove it when at home etc.

I did however ponder over the Graphite option this year 🙄 but remained true to type.

I've owned my phone from the 21st of February and so far I haven't been disappointed. Early days.

How are you finding yours ?

Hi @BandOfBrothers - Nice choice on the Ultra and the case! These phones need to be kept in immaculate condition 😉

I still have to wait until 11 March unfortunately (UK release) but I've been viewing the reviews online and keeping up to date on all S22 related news. The case I went for is the Caseology Parallax in Midnight Green, keeping the colour in check 😊

I went with green also - has that certain glint and depth to it. Black is just the same old same old and I find it hard to get excited over it or justify buying a black phone.

That's true indeed. The black version is always the default colour but there's something about the green version that gives the S22 the X-Factor when compared to the other colours. Looking at some of the reviews, seems like there is a tint of blue, making it a blue/green effect in the light? Is that right?

From seeing one in the flesh then yes there is - there's a slight aqua pearlescent to it when moved I'm certain lights. That's what made make up my mind up on the colour way. Just need to find a decent protector which will show off the colour, oh and wait and see if my plus model gets shipped early!

Check on Amazon, they have good options on screen protectors and cases. What's good about the S22 now, the bezels are so flush (not curved). You can get a decent tempered glass screen protector and any case that fits the protector. For the cases, I usually look at the Spigen, Caseology, Ringke and Torras cases as they are quite reasonably priced.
