Flight mode help

Hi I normally put phone on flight mode amd everything is turned off. But last two weeks.. I see my phone amd all if I use my phone I can do Google search.. read my email .. but I wmt receive a call or text ? What's going on

In flight mode you can also turn WiFi and Bluetooth on whilst still keeping flight mode for calls and texts etc
