Fingerprint icon glitch

Hi,

Occasionally, I'm facing a bug when I place my thumb to unlock my device where the fingerprint icon appears on the display when the screen is turned off (all black except FP icon), the glitch shows a line horizontally across the screen at the bottom of the fingerprint icon that appears similar to TV static, it only happens in this scenario. Any suggestions?

There isn't much you can do, other than saving your data and factory reset.

I suggest you do that cause screen is one of weakest point of any smartphone

How long have you owned the phone @Smch  ?

Is the phone's software up to date ?

You could try options such as > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too. 

And > Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. 

Also send your feedback via your Samsung Members App under the GetHelp section and see what Samsung say.

If a factory reset does not help then let a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre have hands on.

I have had the same glitch ever since I bought my Galaxy S22 in November 2022. Did you ever find a solution to this?

Or does anyone have a picture/video of this happening that I can show to support? I haven't been able to get one since it happens sporadically and when I'm unlocking my phone.
