OK, so this is a bit if a 'noob' question.

I am finding the whole concept of 'fast' and 'super fast' charging very confusing.

The S22 Ultra can accept a 45W charger. OK so I bought a 45w PD power bank, but when I plug it in, the phone says 'fast charging'. When I use my old (presumably 15w?) Samsung charger, its says 'super fast charging'. When I use a (non-Samsung) 45w pd charger it says 'fast charging'

So it appears I only get 'super fast' charging when using my 3 year old Samsung charger, which is NOT 45W! I'm not good at maths, so I don't really understand voltages and amperes either (said I was a noob!).

I guess what I want to know is, should I buy the Samsung 45w charger, will it make any difference to the charging speed? It takes about 2 hours to 'super fast' charge the phone at the moment.

Thank you.

I got the 45w charger from Samsung cost about £44,comes with 5a USB C cable

When plugged in it says Superfast charging 2.0 or something like that

If you use

25W charger it says Fast Charge
25W charger with USB C cable it says super fast charge

I think this is right, jump in if I am wrong

I bought the new 45W super fast charger that's priced at £44 and when charging my S22 Ultra, I get the Super Fast Charging 2.0 notification.
If I use a regular cable, it only tells me that it's Super Fast Charging - so obviously the included 5A cable makes all the difference.

Rob99 i'm still using my charger from my S20 on my S22 ultra which I also used on my S21 ultra to. I personally wouldn't bother buying a 45w charger, The USB C via USB C charger that I got with my S20 is still giving me Super Fast Charging which charges my phone within a n hour.

What sort of charging speed do you get with that 45W charger? I'm still using an 'old' USB C Samsung charger and I get the 'Super Fast charging (1.0 I guess)' but I wouldn't call that super fast by today's standards. If I could almost fully charge my S22U in under 30min with this new charger then I'd consider it.

Juli3n i've had no issues with getting a full charge with my old USB C i can get a full charge in 10min. I have set apps that i use to go into a deep sleep when i'm not using them which i think must help the battery last me over 2 days unless i'm listing to music and playing games during the day.
