My screen is cracked and i am looking to get a repair. Will Samsung factory reset my phone or will my data and apps stay when my screen is replaced? Thanks

That's right, the data will be wiped as part of the repair process. Check out your options for backing up here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/backing-up-and-restoring-data-on-my-galaxy/

I also recommend this option. The drives are very fast and provide an easy way to keep your data. I even use it for transferring data among different devices.

I was not told during my assurant samsung care plus email that I did not have to back up my data and have not got a fully current one . After getting your device repaired was your data erased or not ?

As an it tech myself if the customer doesn't want their data wiping there's zero need? It's only a screen change. Or are they just changing the whole device and not telling the user... 😅 If just a screen replacement (which I need on my s22) I wish to see the engineer do it. There's no reason why not. No trade secrets. Bit of glue and a few screws
