Call sound issues - others can't hear me during calls and I can't hear them either

Hi,

I have had this phone now for around a month (S22 ultra EU exynos) and this is the 4th or 5th time that has happened to me. I receive a call, I hear the ringtone, I answer the phone but I hear nothing. I try to hang up the person and call myself and hear nothing.????? Only way to solve the problem is restart the phone, like I'm on a windows 98 computer....

This is besides the other problem I have with phone refusing to unlock once a day, I am really getting tired of all this annoying bugs.

Why would a 1400$ phone not be able to receive calls? Has anyone else had similar problems or it's only my unit that is faulty?

Hello, 

Same problem with me and my S22 from day one. I have contacted the support team who confirmed that they are aware and working on a fix: "our developers are already working with the software that will solve this issue."


Hopefully a quick update.

Hello,

I have the same issue with my S22 Ultra 5G and Samsung support is useless, they recomended to try a different sim althogh it is a dual sim with 2 different sims from different operators and it is happening on both when it happens, also with previous s20 5g was not happening, then a factory reset wich I already tried, then switch the phone in safe to see if it happens, then go to a service without being able at least to answer if this is a known issue or not. I bought this phone especially for the camera which is great, else it would have gone back to where it came from. I am totally dissapointed on the support I got, and how bad they scrwed up this time without taking responsability...

I am having the same annoying problem. Mine seems to be triggered by connecting to a car via Bluetooth. Samsung needs to fix this as the phone is not fit for purpose 🤬

I thought the same, so I removed all the associated devices... The problem is still there

Been having same issues on my S22 ultra (exynos 2200). Have to restart almost on daily basis. Hope Samsung finds a fix soonest. So disappointed.

Does this also happen on the snapdragon8 chipset?

 

Update: July 15th.

Have not noticed this issue for more than a month now. I think it stopped after I did the June software update.

I have the same damned problem. It happens randomly and the only way to solve it is to reboot the phone. I am on an S22 Ultra EU (ITA) Exynos 12/256 gb.

I'll reach out to Samsung to answer for an official reply.

official reply? Sometimes they will tell you to bring the phone to an assistance center, sometimes they will tell you that they are working on a new software that will correct this bug... I suspect that they have no idea on how to solve this problem

Exactly same issue, for me it's the 5th time, to fix it is to reboot everyday or twice a day.

WhatsApp call works.

I have only had my s22+ two weeks and suffer the same problems here in the UK. Can't ger through to product support. Hope they send out an apb to all users on when they will send out a fix.

Suggest going on to all social media to embarrass Samsung into action. I regret I cannot follow my own advice as my senior brain doesn't allow me to understand the stuff. No sniggering please.
