Hi,

I have had this phone now for around a month (S22 ultra EU exynos) and this is the 4th or 5th time that has happened to me. I receive a call, I hear the ringtone, I answer the phone but I hear nothing. I try to hang up the person and call myself and hear nothing.????? Only way to solve the problem is restart the phone, like I'm on a windows 98 computer....

This is besides the other problem I have with phone refusing to unlock once a day, I am really getting tired of all this annoying bugs.

Why would a 1400$ phone not be able to receive calls? Has anyone else had similar problems or it's only my unit that is faulty?

My husband just figured out an ACTUAL fix - esp if, like me, restarting didn't help. It is likely not permanent, since it looks like people get the issue often, but I'm so grateful to have a way to immediately amend the issue.

  1. Swipe downward and go to your settings gear icon.
  2. Search for "app" in the search bar
  3. Scroll past "notifications" to the Apps category, and one or two down should be "Apps." Click it.
  4. Scroll down until you find your phone app (it is "Call" on older androids, "Phone" on newer). Click it.
  5. In the bottom right, is an option called "Force Stop." Click it.
  6. All done! The app will automatically reboot. I opened it from my homescreen to make sure, and it is fixed. Hope this helps someone since I couldn't find this suggestion anywhere.

I've just updated my s22 ultra and the "Can't hear you" problem is back again after a couple of trouble free months. Bloody frustrating. Been with Samsung for 10 years but back to Apple if this continues.

It's been already a year and no solution!!!! why did we pay so much money on phones if we can not make a normal phone call? 🙄 seriously? 😑😑😑

I have this issue for the first time now, rebooted 3 times but sadly it did not work.

Made sure that it is not the mic by also testing an external head set (which also did not work), while calling via whatsapp works fine.
