Hi,
I have had this phone now for around a month (S22 ultra EU exynos) and this is the 4th or 5th time that has happened to me. I receive a call, I hear the ringtone, I answer the phone but I hear nothing. I try to hang up the person and call myself and hear nothing.????? Only way to solve the problem is restart the phone, like I'm on a windows 98 computer....
This is besides the other problem I have with phone refusing to unlock once a day, I am really getting tired of all this annoying bugs.
Why would a 1400$ phone not be able to receive calls? Has anyone else had similar problems or it's only my unit that is faulty?

Yes, remove the SIM pin and set your phone to auto restart at 4 a.m. each day.
Appart from that, don't buy Samsung any more. A phone that can't do phone calls is rubbish.

Despite several major updates and a new operator and sim card, the problem is still present on my S22. 😕
It's really annoying when someone is trying to call you while you are driving and you have to reboot the phone...

Go to system settings and set up nightly restarts. That is actually an easy workaround. You have to remove the SIM pin for that.
Or return the crappy 'phone' and get something that works. Shame on you, Samsung!!

Hopefully with one UI 5 this will be fixed.

That's very unfortunate. The problem is no matter which brand you choose, the quality will be always be average at best.
Next time I will toss a coin to choose which phone to buy.
Just to be clear: this applies to almost everything I bought in the last 5-6 years, including my car. After all we are the customers and we decide right? Yeah not really

I guess a iphone does not have such antediluvian damed calling-problems like this garbage exynos 2200 from South Korea.
Why are there no class actions? I guess in europe we cant make a class action. In the US with snapdragon, this problem seams to be very seldom

Why didn't you buy an iPhone then? I will not talk about other things apart from smartphone:
- Oppo - can't get fast charging via USB-C to USB-C cable only USB-A will do the trick, gmail suddenly not delivering notification, screen freeze, poor WiFi performance
- Xiaomi - bloatware everywhere
- Pixel - android auto constantly crashing (funny if you think that both the device and AA are made by google...), battery drains suddenly, camera app crashing
- OnePlus - cracking sounds, bluetooth not reliable
Most of these phones have been sent back for replace and guess what? They returned with the same exact problem.
Personally I don't like iPhone / Apple, but they DO have problems as well.
