I cannot believe how bad this battery is.

I had an s21 in November and i used that in the same way i use this. The exact way.

- Hotspot my childs phone 9am - 10am
- Play Pokemon Go from 9am - 10am
- Head home

At this point when i get home, On the s21 standar, I am at around 73%, battery.. It was such a great battery life

Now on my s22 Ultra i am a 49%!!!!!!

My screen is dimmer than what i used on the s21 which should also help me.

Ive never had an ultra phone before and from what was advertised i was expecting so much from it. But im gutted to say the least. The s21 battery life standard out performs the s22 ultra battery life. Unreal

My battery has been epic.

Charged to 100% the night before (midnight), in the morning it is on 96%, then when I get home its between 50-63%, this is from occasional usage, video watching and scrolling and messaging, and odd use of Internet and emails.

Very good 👍🏽

Battery performance on S22 Ultra is really bad. I've been using it for over 10 days now and it is not improving in any way even after installing the latest update by Samsung.

Surprisingly, it ends up using 10-15% battery on standby throughout the night which is not at all impressive from a phone that costs 1249 GBP (256GB variant).
Maximum screen on time I managed to get is under 6 hours that too when kept at standard refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, disabled 5G, reduced animations, no games or heavy apps and mostly web surfing, spotify  and youtube.

Additionally, it lags every now and then even during basic tasks, heats up frequently and screen turns off automatically while using.

I tried contacting Samsung support on phone (didn't get through to an agent even  after waiting for 10 minutes and repeatedly listening to the automated voices), by chat twice (first time was transferred to the technical team and saw a waiting time of over 17 hours for an agent to join so hung up, again today - explained my situation to the agent and was told that will have to wait for 7-10 days if I go for a replacement after shipping back my current phone - can't stay for that long without a phone at all as I traded in my previous phone and shipped it already to samsung. Was later routed to the technical team and simply saw a message saying there are no available agents, try back later.)

Not sure why the customer has to suffer after paying a premium price and getting a faulty device which wasn't even tested thoroughly before the launch.

Mate exactly this.. £1250 for a phone that peforms worse than the standard s21!.

We should be able to fully maximise every setting with the battery being good. Yet like yourself im finding myself reducing settings only 4 days after getting the phone to save battery.. i cant see this battery getting better the more i charge it. But ill try 😞

Well good luck with that. Didn't work for me though.

And S21 was still one of Samsung's flagship device last year, I had been using S10 lite (a mid-range device) for over 2 years and man what a beast it was. Opted for this S22 ultra based on my experience of S10 lite thinking it'll be another level of experience to go for their flagship now.
On a lighter note - it is indeed another level of experience to own the most advanced android smartphone in the world at the moment but not being able to use all its advertised features to save 🔋😀

Hello guys, just as @BandOfBrothers said, the battery is brand new and needs to go through a "learning phase" before it reaches a fully optimised state.
I would personally prefer taking my brand new phone through the learning process rather than buy a used optimised unit.

Just enjoy the experience and be patient.

By the way, @Shnookerdookies,
my Note 20 Ultra battery has been fantastic and still is. Flawless actually..!

Be blessed.

go trough the apps, what is taking battery. also.. 120hz off. constant WiFi and Bluetooth scan off. limit location usage. I get exactly 5h screen time. and by the way, on my note 8 Bixby was eating 25% battery before I disabled it with side tools.
