Battery draining fast after UI7 update

Why is the battery life so much shorter now on my S22Ultra after updating to UI 7?

My usage hasn't changed but battery is discharging much more rapidly.

Have switched off anything unnecessary and even wiped cache.

Same problem here. Instead of 1.5 days, only 22 hours, and it's getting worse by the hour.

I've been a Samsung customer since the S2 and also have other Samsung devices like a microwave and TV.

But I'm seriously considering not buying any more Samsung devices.

One UI 7 has ruined my smartphone. The battery life has decreased significantly, Samsung widgets and the lock screen don't work properly. The oval battery level indicator is terrible.

One UI 7 is a complete disaster.

I have the old s21 that has served me well... until now. UI 7 has been a death nail. I avoided installing it until they forced it. Looked down one day and it was installing.  Having to charge 3 times a day now. Samsung you should be ashamed. At least give a real option to not install. Also, quit changing up swipe features. It's like someone changing your brake and gas pedals up! I just had to relearn from the previous one! Shame!!!

Hello there, how's the battery reset option served? I just woke up to an update prompt for a new software update and had to read reviews first and then saw battery draining as a main concern.

I'm having the same issue on my s22. I went to my battery settings and noticed my battery protection was off so I turned it on and it seems to be doing better. I went to settings-battery- then scrolled to battery protection.

Same Issue with my very new S25 here.
Battery life was very solid until last week (usually just charged it to 90%), now it's completely unusable, draining the battery within half a day without much use and being connected to Wi-Fi. At the same time, the phone becomes quite hot during very basic tasks now.

I think there's some improvement. Hard to quantify but just noticeable. Still not as good as pre-UI7.

I'm hoping Samsung are watching this forum and we get an update to address this issue.
It's a shame as I find a couple of useful extras in UI7.

Notification bar not working too? Just wait 10 seconds at the one ui 7 page and go through all prompts. Solution given by DjOldSkull

Identical issue of battery drain on my A35 after upgrade to one UI 7.

Agreed. The battery life tanked on my S23 ultra. I used to have 40% left by bedtime, now I may have to charge the battery a few times extra each day. What a cluster!
