Is there a fix released by samsung? or at least instructions on what to do with affected devices?

I have not found anything which says that Samsung does anything about it. But more people reporting fried phones, or certain features stopped working completely, issue with pen, screen, unresponsiveness etc.

Don't bother, i use the swipe gesters on my S22 Ultra and now I can't manage to open my 'open apps' page to close them as the base of the screen is now reservwd for forced AI gesters. Switching to the digital buttons solves this but completely changes the onteractions I have with the phone. Noticed batterey isn't great either

Do not update to the new ui. I just updated and there are a lot of iphone problems that i feel samsung users should not encounter. First you can not customize or change your always on display. It uses the color of your wallpaper and that is it. You can not customize the size, positioning, color, brightness or style of AOD. Furthermore you can not use the three navigation buttons with swipe gestures. You are left with iphone stylr midscreen swipe or antic pressing buttons. The solution for this is " Good lock" an application on samsung store that is currently not available and will be available in the future. The problem with this is we are getting iphone features and iphone limited personalisation. If i valued that i would have bought an iphone long time ago. High praises to the UK support team, more precisely the support officer that told me right away that the limited customization is the new ui and not my phone. The us support gave me the regular troubleshooting steps that i wasted hours on, checking if my phone is the issue when i knew clearly it wasnt the phone.

Don't know if was in this update, not had the phone long. But there as a gaping usability bug. If an app goes full-screen, it is virtually impossible to exit it, since the back/home/switch buttons disappear. If you kill the screen, then come back in, the app that was full-screen re-establishes itself. You are forced to rely any provisions of that app to get back to a usable phone, which may not be available if the app has become unresponsive. You can't even get to the power-off menu. And you can't take the battery out to force a restart. So you might be left with waiting for the phone to drain its power before you can use it again, which might take several days.
I think I will go the factory reset route, then never update. I very much doubt a newer update will fix these problems. The bigwigs are not interested in their users. And probably avoid Samsung in future. And Apple. And Google. And the rest of them. They're all as bad as each other, including the network providers who are switching off 2G/3G, so you can't even go back to an old-skool Nokia classic.

At this point I am thinking strongly my next phone will be Linux, first companies started being very intrusive with privacy and scraping data, but this latest move with forced AI and breaking phone is over the top...

So my S22 Ultra just notified that the UI 6.1 update is available again to download. Is the UI stable now? and Safe to Download?

Well it is like throwing dice, are you be the one who will report us here that it was ok or that it burned your phone? Are you brave enough?

This is so very ironic that we're all scared to update because samsung might break our phones that we BOUGHT from them. I've never had this issue with a phone specially with a manufacturer breaking your unit with their mistakes and refusing to honor a repair, is this something common with these new so called flagship phones now?
