My S22 just updated last night and my always on display was changed to portrait!! I can no longer change it back as well!? I use the always on feature as a clock next to my bed at night... I always keep my phone in portrait mode and I have never used the lock screen so those settings are irrelevant for me...Im sure Im not alone. Why is Samsung taking our always on display options away? Please Please Please bring separate control back for always on Display!!

Sorry it does not fix this... I do not utilize lock screen and my phone remains fixed on portrait at all times. Both of these settings need to be changed for both apps and im not willing to change them, just like many others.

Sorry, I already saw that. It is not a solution because it requires auto rotate to be enabled. Which causes its own problems. But Thanks for your suggestions. Samsung just needs to return to separate settings / control for the AO display. Everything else is a partial fix.

It's very simple
If you pull down to the auto rotate menu you can toggle on lock screen auto rotate
