I purchased My s21 ultra off very in the UK

It's landed today rhe model number is SM998B/DS which I assumed was dual sim however its only got a single sim tray

In the mobile info it's got sim one and two so the software is there

The phone is genuine as I can register for an extended UK sim

I thought all UK models were double sim?

Can anyone help me do I need to reject the handset?

I can add an e sim but double sim would be better

Nice to be back on Samsung after some time away just more curious as to why I've only one sim

Thanks

Very weird this has happened and it's conceivable the incorrect sim card tray was used.

Do keep the original sim card tray however as sometimes these have the phone's serial number etc on them which Samsung sometimes want if supporting the phone under warranty.

I'm wondering if Very are selling grey imports !

Under Settings,  About Phone and then Software Information then software service provider information does it say  EUX or you can check via the phoneINFO App from the Playstore under active csc.

No it says BTU also it allows me to buy the UK extended warranty so it's definitely a UK version I think someone put in a wrong sim I've bought the one off amazon so hopefully I'll be good to go when it lands Screenshot_20211106-123112_Settings.jpg

This video demonstrates how the genuine dual SIM card tray should look and behave...

I am afraid that it appears to be different to the one you have.

Looks like Very are altering the handsets they sell and replacing the original dual SIM tray with a third party single SIM tray. I'd send it back TBH!

My advice comes from being a UK Samsung iPhone user.

Current Devices:
  • iPhone 14 Pro 256GB Deep Purple
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds+ > Model: SM-R175.

What's weird the box was sealed with the Samsung normal stickers something isn't right- question is will the dual sim be OK I've just bought?? Do I have any recourse if I take it to the Samsung experience store and get them to look at it.. it definitely is a genuine handset it's just the sim tray which is the issue

As I mentioned earlier it maybe that Very deal in grey imports.

Personally if thus was my phone I'd send the phone back and buy direct from Samsung UK or a UK Highstreet Store @mancuk29

It's an expensive handset so I'd want everything to be right.
