Hi, me again.
Is there a way to turn off the screen waking up everytime I receive a text message. I'm using the default Samsung messaging app

Go to Messages, then tap the 3 dots ont he top right and press setting. Once you're on settings, tap notifications, go to general notifications, lock screen and select do not show notifications. Once you've done this, go back to notifications, select new messages and go to lock screen and select do not show notifications. Hope this helped!

@Anonymous User: Can you try heading to Settings > Apps > Messages > Notifications > General Notifications > Lock Screen > Do Not Show Notifications. Go back and do the same for New Messages, and let me know if this helps.

Screen still waking up so I've downloaded Google messages... Seems to fix the issue

if you look at the time stamp you will notice that your replies are just 3 minutes apart so he was probably typing the response by the time you posted.
