So I checked my imei number and it doesn't match my phone model. It says my phone is s7 edge but it's s21. So my question is if it's a fake phone then how does all sensors works fine and camera is still ok? Also s7 wouldn't get 50 fps in apex legends.

Where did you purchase the phone from @Prize chakma  ?

Nowadays clone phone's are getting better and better as looking like and close to acting like the originals but won't usually bring the sane quality of materials , workmanship etc.

Of course Samsung wouldn't provide warranty support either.

If this was my situation I would ask for a refund however that's your call.

Obviously The imei should show the correct phone model.

I use https://www.imei.info/

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Man I bought it in used condition from a shop. There was one legit s21 but someone bought it before us so I had to buy this. He said the user bought it from dubai. Now he isn't taking the phone back

I think you'd have to check both the shops terms of sale and your countries sales of goods laws as to where you stand @Prize chakma

But first and foremost the shop owner has a duty of care to make sure what they are selling is legit and genuine.

I find it incredibly poor customer support for the owner to deny a refund of a phone model that is not what it was sold as.

I wish you all the best.

Hi, I had the exact same problem, S21 comes up with S7 edge IMEI/serial numbers. Turns out it is a demo unit (there is tiny writing on the back of the phone saying “Demo unit not for sale”). I guess the demo units aren’t given new IMEI’s.
