is it possible for when clicking the volumes buttons that you get the expanded version right away

@Shoope2872: This isn't possible, I'm afraid. The only means of accessing the expanded volume options is by tapping the Volume Up or Volume Down button, then tapping the 3 horizontal dots at the top of the Volume bar that appears on screen.
