S20 Not Receiving OTA Updates

Samsung S20, see screenshots for model info, used in UK

- Has not received a single OTA update in 2 years, since I got the phone. Settings > update and Samsung Smart switch doesn't work, says no updates available and phone up to date. 

- No One UI, Android OS, Google Play store, security updates, ever 

- Phone doesn't look rooted from screenshots

- Tried factory reset and have enough storage

- Service provider software version says "TIM" - so this looks like Italian model?

- Oddly enough when I travel to EU, I cannot connect to a single EU carrier, but in the UK, zero issues connecting to any carrier

- Scanned IMEI, came back not blacklisted

- Is this phone some kind of grey market Italian import model that is partially locked to an Italian carrier? Any help is appreciated.

@anon6368 Can you confirm where you purchased your phone from exactly? You can send me a direct message and we can discuss this privately, as I may need to take some details to check where the phone was manufactured.

Who did you get it through? As that not a UK model and could be why you not getting updates.

Have you tried getting an update through pc, if can still do that way

Amazon, part of their "renewed" program. I tried updating on PC via Samsung Smart switch. Says no updates available

I believe that this phone could be fake which is the reason why your not getting updates but I could be wrong

What does a "fake" samsung look like from a hardware perspective? How can it be detected?
