NFC Won't turn on

I can't turn NFC on no matter what I do. It worked fine a month ago and then after coming back from holiday it doesn't work at all now. I press the button and nothing happens.

I slide the slider to on and it'll stay there til I exit the setting then it's back to off. If Google pay prompts me to turn it on I press it and nothing happens it just stays off.

What do I do?

Go Settings
Apps
Where it says your apps
Click on three horizontal lines
Check show system apps
Click OK
Scroll down to NFC
Click storage
And clear cache and data
Then try nfc again

No change, it says its used 32mb of ram in the past 3 hours though

I have just started having this issue, nothing above resolves it. Did anyone manage to resolve theirs or buy another phone?

I resolved mine by updating it fully up to the newest version

What do you mean by updating it fully up? Did you update the whole phone firmware? Or only the nfc service? And where did you get the ipdate from?

I am having the same issue in my s20 and cannot resolve it....
