NFC Won't turn on

I can't turn NFC on no matter what I do. It worked fine a month ago and then after coming back from holiday it doesn't work at all now. I press the button and nothing happens.

I slide the slider to on and it'll stay there til I exit the setting then it's back to off. If Google pay prompts me to turn it on I press it and nothing happens it just stays off.

What do I do?

I made the mistake of installing the January update and haven't managed to get it took work since

Hi, @galdemsugar and @barn606. It's very unusual that you've both experienced this issue.

Have you both tried Wiping the cache partition to see if this facilitates you in getting NFC working as expected again?:

If you have already gone through these steps, I'd recommend submitting an Error report, so that our developers can look into this in greater detail:

Just cleared cache partition, no luck. Error report just sent. Wish me luck.

The engineers (following receipt of my error report) have just clearly said that the NFC module is faulty.

I am also having this problem with my S20. Worked a week ago and now can't get it to turn on. Have tried all the steps mentioned above. Clearly an issue with this as coincidence they have all stopped working

The only thing that fixed this for me was just downloading 5 or so of the Android updates I was late on. I don't know if that did something to the phone akin to resetting it internally but I haven't really had an issue since then.

My NFC stopped working today , same as everyone else i have tried all that's been posted but whatever i do the sliding bar on NFC just doesn't stay on. Anyone can help me please.
