Android 12 Update and Recent Apps

Just adding my voice to those of us that have already complained about the loss of Recent Apps icons following the Android 12 update. I know it's been said before, but this functionality was really useful so please bring it back. Only having Recommend Apps icons is rubbish!

We've sent this info to the developers, and they've said this will be fixed in a future update. 

In the meantime you could try this: 

Settings > Display > Edge panels > Panels > Apps > Edit > More (3 dots top right) > Show recent apps > Turn this On.

You'll now be able to view recent apps by swiping the right edge of your screen.

Thanks from me as well. It's truly helpful to have an interim solution.

But "a future update" had better mean the *next* update. The fix should be easy because it's just reverting to the previous state. The new layout is only helpful if you use all those functions often AND use those particular apps for them. I'll bet that fewer than half of users want all of the ones shown on a regular basis. It's not so much a useful feature as disguised advertising.
