Hello.

Galaxy S21FE

As of this morning on May 16th, my phone has been acting strange.

Every so often I'll get the stop icon, and I'm unable to make or receive phone calls.

I've restarted, turn on and off maintenance mode. I checked my carrier's website and there is no outages as far as I know.

I recall in the past several weeks I have been sent two updates.

Last of the two updates was over a week ago, but problem just began today.

I wonder if the recent update is causing this issue?

Anyone else having this issue.

Hi there, @Tanya1985. Welcome to the Samsung UK & Ireland Community.

I can see you've done a little bit of troubleshooting already to try to rectify the signal issue you're having, but if you have not done so already, please could you try these additional steps?

Turn off your phone, take your SIM out, and give the gold contacts a rub.

We would also recommend that you try using your SIM card with another unlocked phone. This will allow us to see if the issue is with your SIM or phone. If you are still having signal issues while using another phone, this indicates a possible fault with your account or SIM. We would recommend contacting your network provider for further assistance.

If you are not experiencing the same issue on the other phone, please reset the network settings on your phone:

> Go to "Settings".
> Select "General management".
> Select "Reset".
> Select "Reset mobile network settings".
> Select "Reset settings".
> Enter your screen lock PIN, Pattern, or Password and select "Next".
> Select "Reset".

Hi.

Also have a look at your APN settings to make sure they are correct.

Sometimes if you are with a MNVO it can default to the normal provider.

I tried doing this , and when I click on it it says there isn't an APN set. Not sure what this means.

Also, I won't be able to check sim card until I get home. I'm out, and  have a spare phone at home to check if it's the Sim or not.

Everytime I attempt a phone call, it says "your phone is not registered on the network."

You need to speak to your carrier, just looking on their website won't cut it

Does this happen everywhere or just at your home? Or certain location? Either way you need to speak to them, just looking on a website doesn't let them know you have an issue

The phone acted out for majority of the day yesterday.

Yet, as soon as I got home and near my city, outside the vicinity of work the phone behaved normally.

Then I get to work again today. As soon as I get in the parking lot, very bad reception for internet and the phone service drops.

I attempt a phone call, no ringing.

Thank goodness for wifi because that's the only time I'm able to navigate the internet without glitches and stalling.

And yes, I will phone my carrier  to see if it's something on their end.
