Just updated Pokemon Go (AR Game) to latest version. Freezes every time as soon as game opens. Game was fine before update. No reports of others having same issue with app so assuming its the phone.
Please help - it keeps my son occupied.

New update on the Galaxy Store but the game still doesn't work. Image freezes again .... Samsung for a € 1,400 smartphone is unacceptable. I'm tired

Gaming apps are freezing Samsung support says we can't do anything as its 3rd party app , as a customer we must contact 3rd party gaming company. Great support, £1000 mobile with this issues not worth. No help from Samsung support , Just a blame game.

The Exynos processor has been in the Galaxy for a few years now so Niantic have no excuse - they've apparently been working on a fix for weeks now.

same story on my end, since last update as soon as I open the game and it shows my surroundings, its gives me like 5 secs before it freezes completely.
I'm using the Samsung s20 ultra.

Niantic have updated the known issues page (in-game support) which suggests an update is coming soon 🤞🏻

So, Update:
The Known Issues Page now says "Fix in Upcoming Update".
So i hope just 1 or 2 more Days, but probably another week
