Help with my s7

Hi all.I have an s7,it's actually my bfs old one as mine died.
It's the exact same phone so to speak and on my now dead device,i used the Amazon shopping app all the time.
Since switching to my bfs phone I've been able to install everything i used to use but when i try and install the Amazon shopping app it tells me that my device isn't compatible.
Can any one explain what that's about?I'm using the exact same model of phone and had no issue at all with the app on my old device.

When downloading from Playstore it'll be the latest release where as the one on your old phone would have been downloaded when your phone was compatible. It just wouldn't have updated.

You'll have to go without the app.

Hi @catchhimderry  Which OS do you have on Your Device. The last update for the S7 was Android Oreo , otherwise known as Android 8.  According to Amazon Android Devices need  a mimimum of Android 8. You could try clearing the cache of both the Google Play Store and Google Play Services. Go to Settings-Apps- relevant App-Storage-clear cache,  afterwards restart the Device

However the S7 is quite old now,was released in 2016.
