@Confuseduser: Have you tried connecting to an alternate Wi-Fi network, or resetting your router by unplugging it at the wall for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in? I'm not sure what might be causing this issue, but please try heading to the Email app > Tap the 3 lines in the top left > Tap the cog in the top right of the pop up window > Select your account > Auto download attachments, and toggle this option on to see if this helps.
